Common use

Cortaid (hydrocortisone) is prescribed for the treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory skin conditions, including eczema, dermatitis, insect bites, and rashes. It works by reducing inflammation, swelling, and itching in the affected area.

Dosage and direction

Apply a thin layer of Cortaid cream, ointment, or lotion to the affected area 1–4 times daily, or as directed by your healthcare provider. Gently rub it in until fully absorbed. Wash hands before and after application. Avoid covering treated areas with bandages unless instructed.

Precautions

Inform your doctor if you have a history of skin infections, diabetes, or immune system disorders. Avoid applying to broken, infected, or sensitive skin unless directed. Limit use on the face or large skin areas unless advised by a healthcare provider.

Contraindications

Do not use Cortaid if allergic to hydrocortisone or any component of the formulation. Avoid use on infected or ulcerated skin unless prescribed by a doctor.

Possible side effect

Common side effects include mild burning, stinging, itching, or redness at the application site. Long-term use may cause skin thinning or stretch marks. Rare but serious effects include allergic reactions or severe skin irritation.

Drug interaction

Minimal systemic absorption makes interactions rare. Inform your doctor if using other topical corticosteroids or skin treatments.

Missed dose

If a dose is missed, apply it as soon as you remember and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Overdose

Overdose is unlikely with topical use but may cause excessive local skin effects or systemic corticosteroid effects if used excessively. Seek medical attention if severe reactions occur.

Storage

Store Cortaid at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and light. Keep the tube or container tightly closed and out of reach of children.

I have tried Viagra and Cialis before and must say that Levitra causes less side effects though. I had terrible headache with Viagra which made sex impossible sometimes. With Levitra I forgot about it. I would recommend it to anybody who has similar problems ...
